The countdown began with the lighting of the cauldron. The 55+ BC Games 2016 is hosted by Coquitlam and local sporting venues, and we are excited to be hosting the 5 Pin Bowling competition here at Zone Bowling Coquitlam.
These games run September 21-24, 2016 where upwards of 4,000 athletes, families, coaches and 1500 + spectators and volunteers will converge in Coquitlam. They say it is one of Coquitlam's biggest community celebrations sports has seen in years.
This annual sporting event showcases BC competitors who are the ages of 55+ where it promotes the benefits of leading an active, healthy lifestyle. Not only that, but the skill level o these athletes are incredible and inspirational for the younger adult who perhaps thought there is no point in being a competitive athlete. Never say never!
